Cricket Protein is a no-brainer for me these days (see infographic below). I've been building up strength at home using mostly calisthenic workouts and conditioning, and this reliable and complete source of protein has helped me recover and get the most out of those brutal workouts. I'm happy to say that FYNX has managed to make a cricket protein powder that actually has a great flavor, and I've grown fond of it with the other ingredients in my post-workout smoothies. Things like organic spinach, spirulina, bee pollen, coconut oil, almond milk, avocado, and blueberries

Why Crickets?

While I wouldn't go so far as to say that crickets taste like chicken, they are the most efficient source of protein on the planet, requiring a fraction of the resources needed for chickens and especially cow. And unlike many plant-based proteins, they're a complete protein, meaning they have all nine essential amino acids.


They also boast an impressive mineral profile, containing more calcium than milk, more B12 than beef or salmon, and an impressive amount of iron and vitamin A. They're also abundant with Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.


In short, these little guys serve as much more than a source of protein for bulking. They support brain, immune, and digestive health better than other popular sources of post-workout protein.


Most importantly, they provide us with an opportunity to lessen our carbon footprint due to how little they impact the planet. It's truly the best of both worlds.
